New features

The Lords of Waterdeep Expansion: Scoundrels of Skullport features two brand new areas for players to experience. This includes skullport and undermountain. Two completly new areas which are filled with a host of items and are inspired by the murky underworlds and dungeons of the original water deep design. The new expansion packs features bigger and more complex quests, a wider range of resources and the ability for a sixth player to join in. Either one or the other, or both expansion packs can be used to enhance the main game. The new expansion packs focus on the underworld element of the game by including a new ‘corruption’ feature.


The expansion packs continues to focus on the original structure of the game which made it so popular in the first place. Players move through the game as the secret masked lords and through trickery and force, must gather resources and build in power before the game finishes. This is done by hiring agents and adventurers who will go on missions and complete tasks for the lords.
By completing quests, gaining resources and even creating buildings in the Waterdeep world, the lords build up their powesr and subsequently gain more points. The game lasts for eight rounds of play. At the end of the game those with the most points win.

The original version of water deep is a popular game that was well received by the fantasy board game community.
